I wonder if I will ever find true love. Daddy seemed to with that man next door, not to mention mummy - once.
And Mummy runs off with simply super-looking chaps, usually to Italy or somewhere spiffing like that.
I simply know I'm going to end up an old maid "on the shelf", like Mrs Slagg. She calls herself "mrs", but she's as single as anything. And I will be like her, unloved, with a child to boot. Where is my child, by the way? Think I've lost her among Mary's lot. Oh well...

I thought I'd met my true love when Melvin came into my life. But once I got "tubbed", I didn't see him for dust! And then it turned out he was Mary's bloke! How could he have preferred that ragamuffin to me?
And then I had high hopes for Alistair. He was my mother's pash, but I knew he only had eyes for me really. Then he went off with Mary! But not for long (titter!).
Anyway, have seen this super chap who smiled at me as he came out of Vicar college. With my old crowd, we used to throw stones at them, but he obviously didn't recognise me on my own in school uniform.
We got talking about the bible and things, and he's agreed to come to tea on Thursday. So fingers crossed! He's really good-looking. I secretly think about him in bed and everything. It's bound to be much nicer with him, than with Melvin! Well, it couldn't be any worse!
